Understanding Your Billing Cycle
Your billing cycle determines when you are charged for your hosting services. Understanding how it works helps you plan your budget and avoid unexpected charges.
How Billing Cycles Work
When you sign up for a SillyHost plan, your billing cycle begins on the date of purchase. You can choose from several billing frequencies:
- Monthly – Billed every 30 days from your signup date.
- Quarterly – Billed every 3 months, often with a small discount.
- Annually – Billed once per year with the best savings.
- Biennially – Billed every 2 years for maximum value.
Invoice Generation
Invoices are automatically generated 14 days before your renewal date. This gives you ample time to review the charges and ensure your payment method is up to date. You will receive an email notification when a new invoice is created.
Changing Your Billing Cycle
You can switch to a different billing cycle at your next renewal. Simply open a support ticket or contact our billing team, and we will adjust your cycle. Switching to a longer billing period often saves you money compared to monthly payments.
Pro-Rated Charges
If you upgrade your hosting plan mid-cycle, you will only be charged the pro-rated difference for the remaining days in your current billing period. This means you only pay for what you use.
Late Payments
If an invoice remains unpaid past the due date, your services may be suspended. We send multiple reminder emails before any suspension occurs, so please keep your contact email up to date.
