Managing Multiple Domains at SillyHost
If you own several domain names, efficient management is key to keeping everything running smoothly. SillyHost's client area provides tools to manage all your domains from a single dashboard.
Viewing All Your Domains
- Log in to your SillyHost client area.
- Navigate to Domains > My Domains.
- You will see a list of all domains on your account with their status, expiry date, and auto-renewal setting.
Bulk Domain Management
For accounts with many domains, SillyHost supports bulk actions:
- Bulk renewal: Select multiple domains and renew them all in a single transaction.
- Bulk auto-renewal: Enable or disable auto-renewal for multiple domains at once.
- Bulk nameserver update: Change nameservers for several domains simultaneously.
- Bulk lock/unlock: Lock or unlock multiple domains for transfer protection.
Organising Domains by Purpose
Consider grouping your domains by their function:
- Primary domains: Your main business domains with active websites.
- Redirect domains: Domains that forward to your primary site (e.g., common misspellings or alternate extensions).
- Parked domains: Domains reserved for future use.
- Client domains: If you manage domains on behalf of clients, consider using sub-accounts for easier organisation.
Renewal Calendar
Keep track of upcoming renewals by checking the expiry date column in your domain list. We recommend sorting by expiry date to identify which domains need attention soon.
Tips for Multi-Domain Management
- Enable auto-renewal on all important domains to prevent accidental expiry.
- Use consistent nameservers across your domains for easier DNS management.
- Regularly audit your domain portfolio and let go of domains you no longer need to save on renewal costs.
- Keep your contact information up to date across all domains for compliance.
