Trouble Logging In?
Being locked out of your SillyHost account or your website's admin panel is frustrating but usually easy to resolve. Below are the most common login issues and their solutions.

- Incorrect password – Use the Forgot Password link on the login page to reset your password. Check your spam folder if the reset email does not arrive within a few minutes.
- Two-factor authentication issues – If you have lost access to your authenticator app, contact support with your account verification details to have 2FA reset.
- Account suspended – If your account has been suspended due to non-payment or a terms of service violation, you will see a suspension notice. Resolve the outstanding issue or contact billing support.
- Browser issues – Clear your browser cache and cookies, or try logging in using an incognito or private browsing window.
Cannot Login to cPanel
- Ensure you are using the correct cPanel URL:
https://yourdomain.com:2083or the server hostname provided in your welcome email. - Your cPanel username and password are different from your client area credentials. Check your welcome email for the correct details.
- Reset your cPanel password from the SillyHost client area under Services > Your Hosting Package > Change Password.
- If your IP has been blocked by the firewall after too many failed attempts, wait 15 minutes or contact support to have it unblocked.
Cannot Login to WordPress Admin
- Try the Lost your password? link on the WordPress login page at
yourdomain.com/wp-admin. - If the password reset email does not arrive, you can reset it manually via phpMyAdmin. Navigate to the
wp_userstable, find your user, and update theuser_passfield using the MD5 function. - A security plugin may be blocking your login. Rename the plugin's folder via File Manager to disable it temporarily.
