Account Security Best Practices

Keep Your Account Safe

Follow these best practices to keep your SillyHost account and websites secure.

Strong Passwords

  • Use at least 12 characters
  • Mix uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols
  • Don't reuse passwords from other sites
  • Consider using a password manager like Bitwarden or 1Password

Enable Two-Factor Authentication

This is the single most important thing you can do. Even if your password is compromised, 2FA stops unauthorised access.

Keep Your Email Secure

Your email is the key to your account (password resets go there). Make sure your email account itself has a strong password and 2FA.

Review Login Activity

Check your account's login history regularly from your Profile page. If you see unfamiliar logins, change your password immediately.

Be Wary of Phishing

We will never ask for your password via email. If you receive a suspicious email claiming to be from SillyHost, don't click any links — contact us directly.
